Office Manager: April Rupright
April grew up in Nashville and moved to Spring Hill in 2002. She has a background in pharmaceutical and medical billing. After being a stay-at-home mom for almost 9 years, April excepted a position at Shining Light Gym in August of 2016 as a part-time office assistant. When our former Office Manager left the following year, April quickly took to the challenge of filling her shoes. In her spare time, April enjoys spending quality time with her family and volunteering at her daughter’s school. April has obtained many certifications including CPR, First Aid, and Concussion Awareness.
Girls Rec Director: Re Shephard
Gymnastics has always been Re's first love. She started gymnastics when she was 5 years old. From there, she began competing at age 6 and continued into upper level competition until the age of 13. While competing in California during her junior high school, her Class 3 team won the state championships. At the time, Re was ranked 14th in the state.
While in high school, Re cheered for 4 years and began coaching recreational and team gymnastics when she graduated. After coaching for 8 years, Re decided to pursue a Bachelor's degree in Exercise Science from the University of West Florida, which she obtained in 2000. She went onto work in Cardiac and Respiratory Rehabilitation for 10 years before she started to miss her first love. In February of 2010, Re decided to start coaching again and has been a part of the team at Shining Light ever since. Re has obtained many certifications including CPR, First Aid, and Concussion Awareness.
Parent Child Director & Pre-Rec Director: Donna Hubbard
Raised in Chicago, Donna Hubbard always enjoyed cheering and tumbling. During her childhood, she studied under the director of the Chicago Sting cheerleaders. She later moved to Tennessee where she studied Child Psychology and Development at Tennessee Temple University in Chattanooga TN.
Donna has been coaching gymnastics and cheer for over 19 years with a focus on power tumbling, acrobatics, and trampoline. She enjoys judging and is a certified A.A.U judge. Her list of certifications include: K.A.T (Kinder Accreditation for Teachers), AAU, C.P.R, and Safety certifications. Donna loves working with children and watching them achieve their personal goals. Donna has obtained many certifications including CPR, First Aid, and Concussion Awareness.
